In the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, the final torchbearer was Yoshinori Sakai. He was born in the Chokugu region of western Honshu. During the Olymics he was only  nineteen years old was was coached in the ceremonial duty by Teruji Kogake, a triple jump world record-holder turned coach. He had never competed in the Olympics. So why was he selected to be the final torchbearer of a summer  olympics...

ok this dude....was selected by japan to symbolize peace after the bombing in hiroshima,he was born on tht day.......OH CMON I CANT GET MORE SPECIFIC!
